We're searching for a Materials Management Advisor to join our Syncrude warehouse team. Apply today to be considered for this exciting opportunity!

As a Materials Management Advisor, you will work with the business units to help support the day-to-day activities within our Syncrude Warehouse.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years experience in a warehouse setting

  • Warehouse journeyman or parts journeyman ticket is an asset

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • Knowledge of material, equipment and warehousing day-to-day activities, as well as the safety regulation related to material handling

  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as a forklift

  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

  • Knowledge of SAP applications to accurately process inventory transactions and access information

  • The ability to understand complex processes, and strive to develop and implement continuous improvement and creative process enhancements

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver chemicals totes and various materials to designated areas onsite

  • Complete inventory cycle counts in all areas of the warehouses

  • Ensure the accurate and valid receipt of physically received materials during delivery

  • Manage the process of integrating the materials receipt into the inventory management system

  • Label all materials before entering into the system and respective storage locations

  • Visually inspect all materials and direct to quality assurance testing when required

  • Pick and stage material accurately for authorization for expenditure and maintenance jobs

  • Act as the frontline contact between the warehouse and other business units

  • Load and offload material

  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained in operating areas

Location & other key details

  • You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake location in Fort McMurray, Alberta

  • The shift schedule is Monday to Friday

  • This position is safety sensitive

  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
