Groupon is looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to generate new business with larger enterprise businesses while also managing a portfolio of existing accounts. Reporting into the Head of National, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing and developing new business opportunities with companies with a nationwide appeal in sectors such Health, Beauty, Fitness and Leisure, Food and Drink, Entertainment, Retail and Services space. Through a consultative sales approach, you will present business solutions to meet the merchants, customers and Groupon’s expectations and will become an integral part of the merchants’ marketing and business plans.
📝 Role Overview:
A Senior Key Account Manager at Groupon is responsible for bringing the biggest, most exciting brands to the platform. You will work closely with brands identifying their goals and challenges, using this information to curate personalised deals that helps them to be successful.
Your role will be a hybrid of new business acquisitions and the owning, growing and expanding of large brands such as Mitchell and Butlers, Greene King, Vue, Odeon and more. We’re a key strategic partner in their marketing strategy so being able to uncover and quantify deep-rooted business challenges and having the imagination and flexibility to mold unique deals to solve these challenges is a must.
You will receive two weeks of tailored and specific training to help you be successful. You’ll join a team whose double digit growth month to month demonstrates their success, dedication, and team spirit.
🚀 Job Responsibilities:
Business Development: Proactively source, pitch and close new Enterprise businesses to deliver against growth targets, and continually expand the range of offers for our subscribers.
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of accounts, develop growth strategies and manage their performance end to end.
Develop a thorough understanding of the platform, to secure cross-sell and upsell opportunities with your accounts.
Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
Analytics: Analyse portfolio performance on a daily and weekly basis to inform decision making.
Hold monthly and quarterly business reviews to optimise Merchant performance.
Research and analyse consumer, market and competitor activity to determine your strategy.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the business to launch new business, solve merchant issues and increase performance with existing accounts.
💪 Skills & Competencies:
Minimum of 6 years experience in new business sales, account management or consultative selling to larger organisations
Proven experience as key account manager
Highly motivated to deliver against targets and can work in a fast paced environment.
Strong People Skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
A passion for sales analysis - can you derive useful insights from raw data and information? Can you generate strategies for your merchants that enable acquisition, retention and enhanced sales volumes?
Experience with Marketplaces and E-commerce platforms a nice to have
