About the Senior Associate Role: 

Bankrate’s Authority Building Team (ABT) is seeking Growth Marketing Senior Associate  to help execute on our earned media strategy. We are looking for someone who is passionate about connecting people with our brand through content and that is ready to employ their strong analytical skills to achieve Bankrate’s strategic goals of growing  Bankrate's core verticals: Credit Cards, Mortgage and Home Equity, Banking and Investing, Insurance, or Loans. If you want to apply your data analysis skills to drive the impact of brand and creative, this role may be for you. 

What You Will Do:

  • Data Analysis:
    • Help us uncover new strategic moves in the earned media space by aggregating and analyzing data to identify new opportunities for brand building
    • Using SEO data, define the impact of various brand marketing efforts on search rankings
  • Cross functional collaboration:
    • Using data driven insights, earn buy-in from cross functional teams to help set strategy and define the roadmap
    • Bridge the gap between data driven insights and campaign execution by working shoulder to shoulder with digital PR, social marketing and content marketing teams
  • Data Operations:
    • Oversee API integrations and manage relationships with data vendors
  • Reporting: 
    • Assist with reporting\across a variety of metrics, communicate findings to stakeholders
    • Set benchmarks for measuring success and forecasting future performance
    • Innovate and recommend new initiatives to enhance impact

What Bankrate Is Looking For: 

  • Someone who wants to work a Hybrid Work Schedule: 
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Marketing analytics, Brand Marketing, or Search Engine Optimization is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred, but not required. Experience can be considered in lieu of Degree. 
  • Passionate about innovating in earned media and connecting brands with people through content
  • Innovative, on-the-spot, creative problem solver who demonstrates both technical and analytical skills
  • The ideal candidate will have strong data analytics skills; able to pull & manipulate multiple datasets to inform strategy with data; including comfort working in the weeds with data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Looker/Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and other common reporting platforms.
  • Able to communicate with Engineering teams for data fixes
  • Comfortable working with business leaders in forecasting, competitive analysis, and business modeling.
  • Ability to discern signal from noise using statistical approaches such as sampling, hypothesis testing, and a/b testing
  • Eagerness to track the competitive landscape. Capable of identifying emerging competitor tactics and translating that into campaign strategy
