Develop test configurations to evaluate vehicle and component performance. Assist with the development of test reports, collecting data for the creation of the test summary. Have close communication with other internal and external areas of NMEX. Such as Manufacturing, Design, Resource Management, Facilities Management, etc. and with external areas such as testing/Design groups at Nissan North America, Japan, Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:
Development the test setting and execution of all evaluations selected per appropriate method and timing related to Closures, Sealing, Chassis, Controls and Body Durability systems.
Conduct logical problem solving defining the root cause and proposing the best countermeasure based in QCT requirements. Use the basic tools like FTA, KT (Is-Is Not), Fish Bone, 5Whys, etc.)
Follow up and update Test Standard Procedures.
Creation of Test Report. After test conclusion summarize result and get manager approval.
Conduct vehicle/system level reviews with other Design/Manufacturing Groups.
Propose countermeasure ideas taking in consideration the QCT KPI´s.
Coordinate development projects and review Nissan test specifications requirements. Work with Nissan global team (USA/Japan/Mexico).
Interaction with manufacturing, design groups, assembly plants, Vehicle planning and prototype sections to define schedule and coordinate vehicles or parts delivery.
Keep monitoring inventory of tools & materials used to run validations; Keep good communication with GENEX/CAPEX team to provide maintenance of equipment and define renewal plan.
Analyze and understand test standards to create and update the Test Procedures (TSP).
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronic, Robotic or Automotive Engineering (Completed degree).
Previous Work Experience
At least 2 years of experience in automotive sector with experience in Body, Chassis Design system or Component Testing.
Required knowledge:
Knowledge of DRBFM/FMEA/Root Cause Analysis such as KT (Is-Is Not), Fishbone, 5Why´s, FTA.
Language:
English (Business Fluent)
Computer Skills:
AutoCAD, NX, MS Office Suite.
