Summary of our opportunity:
You will form part of ICG’s Client Relations group that oversees the firm’s existing book of clients, leads and manages fundraising activities and contributes to strategic growth initiatives . The group works collaboratively with the firm’s Marketers, responsible for interfacing with clients and developing new client relationships.
The role will provide exposure to ICG strategies across a range of asset classes, including Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Assets, Structured Credit and Leveraged Finance. Within this Analyst role your core focus will be Private Credit. You must have strong interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and keen to work alongside like-minded individuals as part of a collaborative and committed team. You will require strong communication skills (both written and verbal), benefit from robust analytical skills and demonstrate intellectual curiosity for financial markets.
Primary Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
Acting as a key team member and resource for Client Relations, building an understanding of the strategies you work on and the underlying markets.
Supporting Product Specialists and Marketers with in-depth information and expertise on the firm’s funds and strategies.
Supporting the fundraising cycles, i.e. preparation of high-quality marketing materials such as standard fund overview presentation decks, PPMs, RFPs and DDQs for client proposals and meetings, ensuring that all are delivered diligently, in a timely fashion and of the highest quality.
Using key fund and market level statistics to develop the market positioning of our strategies/ product range and communicate findings both verbally and in written marketing materials.
Organising investor update calls and producing / organising the annual AGMs for your strategies.
Supporting ongoing projects to enhance and streamline processes and workflow across the team, including but not limited to automation and data quality improvement.
Supporting with the fundraise process, including monitoring of the investor pipeline, creating traction reports and communicating this to senior ICG management.
Ensuring that marketing materials meet compliance requirements.
Follow investment market dynamics and competitive landscape to proactively develop insights to contribute to thought leadership.
Key Requirements/ Qualifications
You will have demonstrable experience of:
Essential
Strong academic background
Pro-active, confident and self-motivated; ability to problem solve
Commercially and financially literate, demonstrating strong numerical and oral communication skills; excellent written and presentation skills
A team player with an ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
Demonstration of an exceptional level of attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable
A solid foundation in Finance with exposure to Public and Private Markets
Background or experience in asset management, the placement agent industry or investment banking would be desirable
