Summary:

In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping the marketing strategy for the Spend Management business unit by leveraging customer market research, competitive intelligence, and marketing channel performance data. You will lead cross-functional marketing peers in integrating competitive insights and voice of the customer (VoC) into content development and execution, ensuring that marketing efforts are data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with the business unit’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and Analysis: Lead the collation of spend management QBRs (by category), provide actionable insights and recommendations.to category marketing leaders from automated pipeline reports, competitive research, VOC, etc., present reports and dashboards to stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing analytics, and omnichannel peers to ensure channel performance optimization 

  • Market Research: Work closely with the marketing research team to leverage all data sets, including surveys, VOC feedback, customer interviews and market trends. Assist with informing appropriate questions for surveys, additional research needs for the BU, and infusing research findings to uncover customer needs, preferences and behaviors.  

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate with marketing peers in integrating customer and competitive insights into content creation, campaign planning, and marketing initiatives r data and align marketing strategies with business objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer insights are consistently reflected in marketing content and messaging and differentiate the Spend Management business. 

  • Voice of Customer (VOC): Participate with market research team in VOC efforts to capture customer feedback and insights related to the BU. Ensure the use VOC data to inform spend management and category marketing strategies, message development, and customer experience improvement initiatives for spend management BU as a whole and influence the use of the research in category level content. 

  • Competitive Intelligence: Primary liaison to the Competitive Intelligence team to monitor and analyze competitor activities, industry trends and market dynamics. Synthesize competitive insights into actionable recommendations for marketing content, campaigns, and positioning for the BU. 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in data analytics, market research, business, or related discipline preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience is required. Experience in data analysis is desired.

  • Proficiency in integrated CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamix Salesforce and Pardot required.

  • Proven experience in competitive intelligence, voice of the customer programs, and marketing channel performance analysis.
    Strong leadership skills with a track record of collaborating across teams and influencing peers.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with Spend Management, Procurement, or related industries preferred.

  • Highly organized, able to multitask, meet deadlines and quickly adapt to change.

  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with others and cross functionally work across various departments and teams.

  • Advanced use of technology tools and platforms to organize and visualize data (including but not limited to Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, advanced logic (nesting “if” statements, etc.), Power Point, OneDrive, Microsoft Dynamix, etc.

  • Strategic mindset and a passion for driving market research and intelligence excellence.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.
