Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a motivated Operations Support Specialist to join our dynamic satellite operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals eager to learn, take initiative, and grow with us in the exciting field of space operations and antenna services.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintain proficiency in Flight Operations Procedures (FOP), spacecraft subsystems, and operational tools.
  • Support routine, special, and contingency operations for a unique satellite system.
  • Participate in satellite launch, early orbit, on-orbit, and end-of-life operations.
  • Perform payload mission scheduling, data trending and analysis, real-time operations, and anomaly identification/resolution.
  • Collaborate daily with Mission Partners for coordination, anomaly resolution, and system status updates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert when interfacing with Mission Partners.
  • Analyze activities associated with both ground and spacecraft operational systems.
  • Assist with ground system sustainment, upgrades, and antenna assembly/maintenance/integration.
  • Take ownership of tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement or support.
  • Perform shift work as required to support mission needs.
  • Embrace cross-functional duties and support other team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree (entry-level welcome) OR
  • Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR
  • High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Colorado Springs and travel as needed.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with orbital operations and mission management.
  • Familiarity with Ground/RF equipment.
  • Exposure to integration, and/or verification and validation processes.
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations.
  • Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Ability to work in a highly integrated team in a spacecraft, software, hardware, integration and development environment.

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
