About the Role

The Global Security Threat Analyst has two principal responsibilities: (1) analysis of physical security threat intelligence for the CrowdStrike Global Security Program (70 percent of your time), and (2) facility security support of CrowdStrike’s office in Singapore (30 percent). The Global Security Threat Analyst works under the Manager, Global Security on the Global Security team.

The Global Security Threat Analyst will monitor Internet, social media, news and third-party vendor platform sources, and will provide warnings and guidance on threats such as criminal or terrorist activities, geo-political crises, and weather-related emergencies and natural disasters affecting our people, facilities and operations worldwide in support of the Chief Security Officer’s vision and the company’s duty of care standard. The position also carries responsibilities for maintaining CrowdStrike’s security program and access control systems at the Singapore facility. Your aim will be to reduce security vulnerabilities by enforcing formalized security processes, policies, and procedures for personnel at the Singapore office.

The Global Security Threat Analyst should have some knowledge, skills and abilities directly related to physical and personnel security, social media and open-source data exploitation, threat analysis and reporting, as well as experience, knowledge, skills and abilities directly related to access control and Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) platforms and physical office security.

Due to the nature of the work, the position may require additional work hours during an incident or crisis, up to and including nights and weekends, and occasional travel to support regional company events.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities for Threat Analysis

  • Maintain situational awareness of the safety and security of our people, executives, facilities and  operations;

  • Proactively identify and assess potential threats and incidents, and determine their impact to our company;

  • Provide senior management with the information they need to combat those threats through analysis and assessments;

  • Conduct proactive research and draft high-quality tactical and strategic Threat Assessments;

  • Coordinate travel security operations, including advising international travelers on security issues across the region;

  • Exploit Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCINT) data in near real-time using a variety of sources;

  • Determine the value, significance and relevance of information developed;

  • Produce concise, written analysis and visual presentations on findings;

  • Analyze and develop risk mitigation strategies;

  • All other duties as assigned

Principal Duties & Responsibilities for Facility Security

  • Facilitate CrowdStrike’s facility security and access control program in coordination with the Global Security System Administrator

  • Administer all aspects of personnel security including processing access control requests, and supporting employee security briefings

  • Identify and inform management of issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through the process of weekly and monthly audits

  • Facilitate and communicate CrowdStrike’s access control and VSS program under the Sr. Manager to ensure team members are assisting visitors and verifying rights to access

  • Support the resolution process for incidents within the department, ensuring all relevant information is captured and be responsible for escalation to higher level resolver groups including the solution provider

  • Monitor camera feeds for CrowdStrike facilities

  • Secure a cultural understanding of security among all CrowdStrike personnel

  • Create and process new employee/contractor facility access accounts and control cards

  • Promptly remove facility access control for terminated or departing employees

  • All other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex threat events and physical security concepts to technical as well as non-technical audiences

  • Experience with user provisioning and access management processes

  • Outstanding communication, attention to details, time-management, organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, juggling concurrent tasks and meeting daily deadlines;

  • Ability to communicate effectively in crisis situations;

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance;

  • Ability to work independently with efficiency and flexibility;

  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, product-driven work environment

Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in homeland security, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, political science, emergency or crisis management, security or intelligence studies or other security-related discipline;

  • Education can be substituted for military or law enforcement experience, or other relevant work experience;

  • Prior experience in physical and/or personnel security;

  • Prior experience in intelligence and/or threat analysis;

  • Prior experience in crisis and/or incident management;

  • Prior experience in a 24/7/365 Operations Center;

  • Prior experience with Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCINT);

  • First Aid and CPR certified a plus
