Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 (Sentinel External Interfaces/IFC Manager) to direct the Weapon System (WS) Interface team within the Mission and Weapon System Engineering (MWSE) department of the Aerospace Vehicle and Systems Integration (AVSI) directorate. This position will be located in Roy, UT. The successful candidate will join the Sentinel Program's System Engineering Team in the development of weapon system interfaces, requirement analysis, verification planning, and programmatic system engineering technical direction. This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site in Roy, Utah.

This is a full time section manager position, involving balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a Systems Engineering group of up to 15 engineers while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from his/her current or future tasking. Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees’ performance and career development through guidance and training. You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM related field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)with 6 years of related experience.
• 1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• 1+ year of experience developing requirements or verification using DOORS and/or Cameo.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 6 years of experience, or 4 years of experience with a Master's degree.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering and Integration and Test processes on the Sentinel Program .
• 3+ years of experience developing requirements or verification using DOORS and/or Cameo.
• 2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
