About the Role  

Responsible for the supervision/execution of the range of communications and public relations activities. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Ensures material about client’s activities on server are maintained by Account Executive
  • Ensures client weekly/monthly/post mortem reports on activities are prepared and sent
  • Supervises the preparation/prepare contact reports
  • Monitors and scans newspapers and magazines for appropriate articles to clip
  • Starts to identify potential issues that may impact clients’ businesses
  • Researches information for proposals, pitches, speeches and publications
  • Conceptualizes and produces programs, client memos, news releases, case histories, by-liners, backgrounders, brochures and collateral materials
  • Executes and contributes to the design of media relations campaigns that meet client’s objectives, demonstrates thorough understanding of the media
  • Supervises the Account Executive/Direct follow up with media on invitations, press releases, editorial and media trips
  • Supervises the work on invitation lists and details for press conferences including preparing press kits, boiler plates and burning CDs
  • Ensures the electronic media list of various accounts are maintained on the server
  • Manages implementation of events such as press conferences, media briefings, analyst meetings, media tours, on-site media and public registration
  • Answers calls from the press and public
  • Contributes to the development and presentation of new business programs for potential and existing clients
  • Supervises the preparation of meeting materials and logistics
  • Recces on possible venues for client’s events
  • Prepares purchase order and job requisition form
  • Interfaces with client and third party suppliers
  • Handles several small accounts or a combination of one to two large accounts with several small accounts under close supervision by team leader
  • Balances work load and tasks
  • Completes timesheet daily
  • Manages time for optimum productivity and maximum billability
  • Meets billability targets established for Senior Account Executive position 

What You’ll Need  

  • Candidates with at least 3-4 years of working experience are preferred.
  • Excellent command of English and at least one other language
  • Is a skilled writer
  • Developing editing skills that are applied to written work of larger account team
  • Excellent co-ordination skills, e.g. able to plan, communicate and follow-up
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exemplifies solid teamwork capabilities while demonstrating supervisory skills
  • Industrious and resourceful
  • Naturally inquisitive towards the client’s business and interested in how public relations can improve the business
  • Consistently identifies and pursues opportunities for enhancing involvement and contributions to the account, team and agency
  • Displays work ethics and values of the organisation in day-to-day behaviour
  • Works with supervisor to identify and address training, education and skill-building needs.
