Job Description​

Seeking a Procedural Scheduler to coordinate patient surgeries and verify OBGYN benefits. This is a vital role in helping the patient receive the proper coverage, care, and understand their financial obligation prior to service.  This is a fantastic position for someone who enjoys serving as the key connector between patients and providers, coordinating complex schedules, managing critical timelines, and making a direct impact on patient outcomes.

How you support our amazing team and patients:

• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, update patient account information as needed
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for pregnancy, procedures, surgeries or other services for OB and GYN patients
• Contact insurance companies to obtain prior authorization if required
• Evaluate surgery case to determine the appropriate OR, surgery time and post-op timeframe
• Schedule surgery dates in EMR and appropriate surgical calendars
• Maintains block times for all physicians, including robotic schedule
• Run patient estimates and notifies patient of financial responsibility such as co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and/or out of pocket maximums
• Interact with patients, providers, and staff to coordinate  post-op appointment 
• Document authorizations and/or communication with patients in EMR
• Communicates in an effective and professional manner with physicians, care team, ancillary departments,  insurance companies, as well as patients
