Position Overview

The SVP, Strategy & Transformation, North America is a highly visible and strategic leadership role, responsible for implementing new strategies, leading strategic programs and initiatives, driving operational excellence, and enhancing strategic alignment across North America and global teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong strategic thinking, operational rigor, and people leadership to enable the company’s growth and scaling goals.

Essential Job Functions

Strategy

  • Serve as the North America President’s delegated authority for implementing and enforcing governance frameworks, KPI processes, and continuous-improvement methodologies, ensuring organization-wide accountability and alignment.

  • Partner with product leadership to define and operationalize the North America product portfolio strategy, leading cross-functional launch execution through end-to-end blueprints, project management frameworks, and go-to-market processes that ensure repeatability, scalability, and alignment with customer and market needs.  

  • Design and implement the North America “Mission Control” platform to centralize strategic KPI monitoring, real-time reporting, and proactive issue escalation across strategy, product and operations.   

  • Articulate strategic vision and performance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, translating data into concise, actionable insights.

Value Chain Excellence

  • Owns the full North America value chain, from market strategy to campus delivery, ensuring seamless handoffs and execution while serving as the test bed for global technology enablement efforts (e.g., Drivetrain), accelerating global alignment.

  • Drive the documentation of key handoffs, decision points, and governance checkpoints to ensure clarity of roles, smooth transitions, and proactive risk management.

  • Optimize core business processes and workflows for speed, transparency, and scalability.

  • Accelerate decision cycles across all key functions by embedding real-time metrics and structured review processes to empower proactive, data-driven leadership.

  • Establish systems to improve coordination between the President’s office, global shared functions and regional business functions.

  • Partner with the North America COO and Global Innovation to establish strategic feedback loops between regional engineering / product teams and the innovation hub, optimizing data-center design as a product and informing data-science models.

  • Orchestrate high-impact programs, develop and scale playbooks for implementation. 

Change Adoption & Enablement

  • Bring adoption and enablement into projects from Day 1 to drive adoption from Day 1.

  • Design training, champions networks, and feedback mechanisms to lock in new ways of working.

  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across teams and regions.

Data Science & Reporting

  • Own the analytics operating model and unified data taxonomy, ensuring consistent definitions and data integrity across all dashboards, scorecards and reports for North America and global stakeholders in partnership with VPs / SVPs. Surface proactive insights through leading-indicator monitoring and scenario analysis, enabling the executive team to anticipate risks and make evidence-based decisions.

  • Embed competitive benchmarking and ‘what-if’ scenario modeling into analytics suite, partnering with Global Market Strategy to track competitor moves and stress-test strategic plans.

  • Collaborate with Strategy and Commercial teams to turn these market insights into dynamic segmentation models and go-to-market recommendations.

  • Deliver regular reports to the NA leadership, Executive leadership and Board.

Team Development and Leadership

  • Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

  • Mentor and develop leaders across the President’s direct report team.

  • Promote accountability, transparency, and a growth mindset throughout the region.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior executive operations or strategic advisory role.

  • Proven experience driving executive-level strategy, operating model transformations, and business operations.

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-informed approach to decision-making.

  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of discretion, integrity, and ability to manage confidential matters.

  • Advanced project management and cross-functional team leadership skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management and data visualization tools.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and high-stakes environments.

Skills:

  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proven capabilities in developing teams, coaching, and skill mentoring.

  • Excellent team management and leadership skills, customer / business support experience with highly technical, engineering-oriented organizations / environments.  

  • Ability to develop and communicate relevant department metrics, SLA and performance reports to executive management.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and building automation systems.

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
