St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincent's Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
Our Maternity Services has recently undergone new redevelopment with the completion of new purpose-built luxurious birthing suites, post-natal ward and a new refurbished Special Care nursery coming soon later in 2025.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwives to join our Resource Unit with shifts available in Birth Suite and our Post Natal wards.

There are a variety of shifts available during the week and weekend to choose from, the choice is yours!

Key Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

•  Deliver exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have a positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience
• Provide a high standard of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
• Plan, assess, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with women, their partners/families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
• Role-modelling empathy, compassion, and professionalism in your interactions with patients and families.

ABOUT YOU:

• Current registration Registered Midwife with AHPRA,
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience in birth suite or postnatal care at least 3 years post registration experience
• Demonstrated ability to work within the Mission, Values and Standards of Service Excellence of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
• Dedicated to safe best practice and quality care
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts evenings, night duty including weekends.
