Join a dynamic engineering team focused on enhancing the Seller Experience and driving the growth of Walmart's Marketplace and Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

What you'll do...

As a Software Engineer III, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company
• You also get to collaborate with team members to develop best practices and requirements for the software
• In this role it would be important for you to professionally maintain all codes and create updates regularly to address the customer’s and company’s concerns
• You will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance.
• Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently will offer you a chance to grow your skills in a high-pace, high-impact environment.
• Software security is of prime importance and by developing programs that monitor sharing of private information, you will be able to add tremendous credibility to your work.
• You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness. 
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
   

What you'll bring:

• Experienced knowledge and understanding of Java, Spring Boot, React and working with distributed systems/teams
• Understanding of microservice architecture and design, and best practices around multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning.
• A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
• Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, SQL.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the following programming languages: Java, Spark (SQL, Streaming), Hadoop Map-Reduce.
• Experience with Build Manager (Maven), Distributed Version Control (GIT), Continuous Integration (Jenkins).
• DevOps skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on Linux.
• Exposure/Experience with Spark, GCP & experience building production systems handling large volumes of data.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
