Position is based in Hanoi, Vietnam, 6 month contract

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Strategist with deep expertise in Temenos Transact (T24) to define, implement, and oversee testing strategies for complex core banking transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Temenos functionality, integration patterns, and core banking processes, along with a proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide test strategies and governance frameworks.
• Aligning QA objectives with business goals, ensuring test activities support delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on testing capabilities, risks, and improvements.

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Serve as the go-to expert for testing best practices, tools, automation, and performance testing strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend modern testing frameworks, CI/CD integration approaches, and test data management solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship and thought leadership across QA teams.

Process Optimization:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Standardize test processes, templates, and metrics across projects and teams.
• Champion quality-first principles within Agile, DevOps, or hybrid development environments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure quality is embedded early in the SDLC.
• Participate in risk assessments, defect triage meetings, and go-live readiness discussions.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including at least 3 years in a strategic or leadership SME role.
• At least 2 years’ experience with Temenos Data Migration, TCIB (Temenos Infinity), or Temenos Payments Hub
• In-depth knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, LoadRunner, Postman, Jira, TestRail, etc.).
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and DevOps environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and risk-based testing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent certifications.
• Knowledge of cloud-hosted Temenos environments (Azure, AWS, SaaS)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and DevOps pipelines

• Capable of working in a bilingual (Vietnamese/English) environment preferred
