The Opportunity:

The Scheduler is responsible for the booking of shifts, the effective day to day business operations, providing reports on an ad-hoc basis and as requested. This role will establish continuous, innovative improvement of current services in order to provide an enhanced customer service experience.

What You Will Do:

• Schedule staff for the care departments and ensure all shifts are filled to meet business needs
• Prepare daily assignment sheets for departments
• Record attendance and collect appropriate documentation from staff to support requests for shift exchanges, vacation, sick-leave or other leaves, etc
• Responsible for managing sick time, time & attendance records in Kronos
• Assist with Unit Clerk duties for relief coverage
• Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies for the nursing department
• Provide administrative support to the leadership team as time allows

What You Will Need:

• 2+ years’ experience in a scheduler or similar role is preferred.
• A certificate or diploma in Office Administration or related field.
• Preference will be given to those with experience working with Kronos.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warming, caring and approachable demeanor.
• Strong MS Office Software’s skills required, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
