Main Purpose:

• Participate in strategic planning discussions with technical and business collaborators and is the single point of contact delivery partner for single or multiple sub-systems for global techno-functional product owner.
• Provide technical solutions in business intelligence domain, for the issues raised by the business.
• Architect and design solutions and guide the vendor teams to implement the solution as per the architecture and design.
• Be hands-on master developer on the system and coach developers of the vendors. Pair program with new developers on an existing system to build their capability.
• Identify gaps in technical design, functional requirements, in the team members and work towards closing those gaps to ensure high quality software is delivered to meet business goals.
• Help implement a continuous learning culture within the vendor teams to build their capability the sub-system(s) they are leading.
• Managing BAU, projects, migration activities and validate new technologies into the BI vertical
• Manage business collaborator expectations & provide timely updates on project delivery
• Strong functional understanding and user documentation skills (ex: Confluence, Jira etc.)
• Work across various application teams for smooth alignment of issue area and effective solution to reduce wait-time on tickets.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skillsets:

• Should be an expert on QlikView, QlikSense and related technologies
• Should know how to integrate QlikView / QlikSense with different source systems and implement a strong data model layer for strong end user experience
• Should be able to provide strong UI experience to end users which helps them take decisions with regards to their business
• Should be able to work independently and ensure quality delivery
• Should be able to manage quality assurance test cycles and manage testing, defect resolution processes
• Collaborate with other team members to identify problems, provide solutions and resolution
• Ensure completion of tasks, achievements, and components including Technical design specifications, implementations
• Should have strong SQL (Oracle and MS SQL) skills to help solve issues and help implement a robust data extract layer
• Experience and expertise in writing technical specifications on confluence
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and highly driven, with the desire to learn our business
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong consultancy skills including consulting experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

• More than 15 years of experience in the industry as a developer and lead
• At-least 8+ years of experience in business intelligence covering different aspects of data modelling, business analysis, UI/UX expertise, system integration expertise
• Experience in managing a team would be an added advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent is required
• Understanding of Commodities, Logistics, Financing, Accounting or Derivatives is a plus

• Strong oral and written communications with strong inter-personal skills to collaborate with vendor teams and global IT owners with attention to micro level details.
• Must be acclimatized working and dealing with client managers / senior management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong change management skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Capable of working in groups as well as independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate as a lead and manage the delivery partner operating model
• Partner with global techno-functional collaborators and vendor technical teams to deliver strategic business objectives
• Own the BAU delivery and product support for business intelligence team
• Coach and Mentor the vendor developers for the assigned work stream
