This position at Global Business Travel (GBT) represents an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic world of airline distribution, managing a portfolio of airlines within the Americas region. This is a strategic role, where the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the distribution relationships with key external partners to secure best-in-class content for GBT’s customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure this content is optimized at point of sale 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Work with Distribution Team’s leadership to drive the air distribution strategy in North America and Latam. 
  • Partnering with Airlines to ensure strong collaboration on distribution matters, alignment on goals and enhancing the overall offering to joint customers 
  • Work through content related issues and apply solutions as required to overcome challenges 
  • Working closely with Product & Technology, Marketplace and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and progress on key goals 
  • Developing and implementing new strategies to evolve and expand the content offered to customers utilizing new capabilities and technology as required 
  • Develop commercial models to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 3+ years of experience in the Airline and/or travel distribution space. Ideally with good knowledge of NDC  
  • Strong product and technology knowledge base to influence and lead product-related discussions. 
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners. Ability to navigate a complex organization and find the right internal partner for each project 
  • Critical thinking skills coupled with translating complex technical and business issues into clear, actionable insights for leadership    
  • Experience of ‘future proofing’ within organizations 
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure optimum value for the organization. 
  • Strong analytical skills. Assess and understand financial impact of negotiations 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver within deadlines 
  • Coss cultural awareness. Thrive in diverse, multi-time zone environments with cultural adaptability.
