About the Team
The AP Strategy and Analytics team is responsible for charting the future of the AP Program: We explore, evaluate and incubate the highest promise ideas to expand the reach of AP. Our goal is to serve a broad range of high school students to succeed in rigorous courses and earn credit opportunities that accelerate them to and through college. We are a group of versatile, high-performing individuals who work closely with leaders across College Board to drive high-value strategic initiatives for the Program. Annually, over 3 million students take AP courses, with almost 40% of high school graduates taking AP exams at some point in their high school career, creating significant potential for impact for anyone joining this team.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Director of Analytics and Strategic Initiatives in AP, you are charged with elevating and keeping the team focused on big-picture milestones to drive progress and delivery, managing select complex projects from end-to-end in partnership with content lead, and overseeing key team functions such as all-hands meetings, staffing, and budgeting to foster a collaborative and productive team culture. In this role, you will:
Manage team to high level milestones (30%)
Define, elevate, and track critical milestones that align with strategic priorities, keeping them visible and top of mind for the team by facilitating milestone planning sessions and conducting periodic progress reviews to assess status, identify risks, and ensure focus on key objectives.
Monitor for and elevate timeline risks in periodic reviews and weekly team meetings
Support decision-making and adjustments in resources or timelines as needed, ensuring that day-to-day activities align with overall project objectives.
Lead end-to-end management of complex, strategic projects from planning/scoping through final deliverables (50%)
Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure project scope, work breakdown structure and roles/responsibilities and approvals are well defined and captured, and respective deliverables are on track.
Facilitate project team meetings, documents, and communicates open issues and next steps while maintaining ongoing documentation of decisions rationale.
Create and manage project plans for the team and keep team accountable, elevating and problem-solving for risks
Liaise with other teams at CB who are supporting work to ensure alignment on timelines and effective hand-offs
Oversee key team functions to enhance productivity, collaboration, and team culture, including all-hands meetings, budgeting, and resource planning (20%)
Plan and facilitate all-hands meetings and weekly problem-solving meeting, ensuring they are purposeful and drive alignment on key priorities, team learning, and collaboration.
Oversee team budget planning and monitor spending, serving as point for the AP budget group for our team
About You
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
Formal project management credential preferred: e.g. CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA certification or a project management certificate from an accredited institution.
5+ years of relevant experience with a focus on project management
Previous experience with new product/program development desirable
Strong ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organization and prioritization skills and the proven ability to move forward multiple projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team
A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students
You are authorized to work in the United States.
Willingness to travel 4-6 times per year

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $130,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
