Our Model Shop is a fast-paced environment seeking to astonish our customers at the highest level. This team is seeking a creative, passionate, out-of-the-box thinker that thrives on exploring new possibilities but also obsesses over the details that matter most to our customers. We are a close, tight-knit group of master craftsmen who work and support all divisions of the company including Product Design, Research, Product Development, and Collabs.  

  

Additional Responsibilities Include: 

  • Work with CAD Models and sketches, as well as verbal and written instructions, to construct and execute precise prototypes and models 

  • Proficient in CAD geometry manipulation and creation using latest version of MasterCAM and Solidworks 

  • 3 Axis CNC programming, setup, fixturing and operation 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft 365 Suite  

  • Regularly work with a variety of materials including 3D printed resins, wood, metal, plastics, urethane board, RTV silicones, and similar materials and their characteristics  

  • Use of common Model Shop equipment such as 3D printers, laser/vinyl cutters, saws, milling machines, lathes, routers, jointers, drill press, sanders and hand tools 

  • Support the production of silicone prototype parts in collaboration with mold designers  

  • Skilled in finishing, color matching, spray painting, application of graphics and assembly of looks-like product models 

  • Interfaces with Product Design team to understand assembly and the feasibility of the products design  

  • Works collaboratively and professionally with the larger Rapid Prototyping team to support deadlines of completed projects
