As a Retirement Plan Documents Manager, you will oversee the organization’s plan document work on a departmental level, to ensure that all departmental and regulatory deadlines are met, as well as monitor and resolve ongoing issues with high touch, high profile clients. You will frequently participate in client meetings pertaining to plan documents and may perform plan document walk throughs. Stay current on changing defined contribution plan document regulatory requirements and work closely with our legal team to understand the impact of regulatory changes and plan document provisions.  Ensure organizational objectives are met by planning, directing, and controlling the activities of your team.

  • Facilitate technical training for team members, including the plan document requirements driven by regulatory and law changes
  • Ensure high levels of team performance by meeting all client deliverables, in addition to all regulatory and compliance deadlines
  • Seek to understand, acknowledge, and respond to issues and business challenges faced by clients
  • Create, monitor and follow-up on execution of plans, utilizing project plans and available tools
  • Communicate and present confidently on plan provisions and regulations to high profile clients
  • Have experience with diverse plan types requiring documents: 403(b), 401(k), governmental, church, nonqualified plan under IRC 457(b), 457(f), 409(A) and 415(m)

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in a business-related field  
  • 5+ years prior experience working with retirement plans and/or plan documents
  • 5+ years prior experience managing a team
  • Project management skills; problem solving skills; process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication skills; coaching and counseling
  • QKA and/or TGPC designations and ASC plan document software experience a plus
