Summary:

Directs the daily operations of the payroll department and all payroll processing activities. Ensures timely and accurate processing of payroll activities.

Responsibilities:

Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives of the payroll department which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Establishes, monitors and reports on staff performance metrics.Determines, coordinates and supervises daily operations of the department including staff assignments.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.Responsible for ensuring W2 submission is timely, complete and accepted by the IRS.Responsible for the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.Monitors the payroll department budget, regulatory compliance, and physician contracts for payroll purposes. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Stays current with regulatory compliance, including payroll and tax compliance.Runs full payroll cycle. Ensures that documentation is kept up to date.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelors (Required)Certified Payroll Professional - American Payroll Association (APA)
