Job Description:

Likewize is searching for a Senior Accountant, Device Protection to join our Accounting Team at our global headquarters in Southlake, TX.

In this role, you will be responsible for the general accounting functions supporting our domestic and international business.  You will also assist with special accounting projects and non-routine assignments that will add value to the organization and support executive decision making.  

This Position will be mainly located at our Southlake Headquarters, but at times will be required to work and commute to the Flower Mound warehouse as needed.

You will assist with Inventory/Accounting related matters, including inventory reviews, cycle count related tasks, inventory sampling tasks and inventory reconciliations as needed.  

Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including the gathering of information and preparation of journal entries.

  • Support the corporate tax department with monthly, quarterly and annual information required on a timely basis. Prepare and file Canada Sales tax returns.

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

  • Support the improvement of internal controls including following company accounting processes and procedures.

  • Support the year-end audit including supplying information to the external and internal auditors.

  • Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances

  • Provide timely quarterly information to Financial Reporting.

  • Perform special projects, GL accounts review, miscellaneous assignments and other duties as required.

  • Work and collaborate with Operations at the warehouse to secure accurate accounting.

If you are who we are looking for, you will have the following education, skills and/or experience:

  • B.S. degree in accounting.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting.

  • GST filing and calculation experience.  Experience with Canada transactions is highly preferred.

  • Inventory Accounting, intercompany accounting, and strong reconciliation experience.

  • Advanced skills in MS-Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, advance formulas, etc.).

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • Candidate must be a deadline focused, organized, detail oriented, self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and execute sound judgement.

  • Ability to effectively work in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization.
