We are looking for an experienced and visionary Platform Engineering Lead to build and lead a world-class Platform Engineering team based in Bangalore. This is a senior leadership role with a primary focus on DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a forward-looking emphasis on integrating AI-driven capabilities into platform operations. The team you build will serve as a critical enabler for software engineering teams across our global organization.

• Build, grow, and lead a high-performing Platform Engineering team in Bangalore, establishing it as a centre of excellence for DevOps and SRE
• Define and execute the platform engineering strategy, roadmap, and operating model to support global engineering teams
• Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms
• Champion and embed AI/ML-powered tooling into DevOps and SRE workflows — including AIOps, intelligent alerting, predictive incident management, and automated remediation
• Establish and enforce SRE principles including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems across the organization
• Define, track, and report on platform engineering metrics — including deployment frequency, change failure rate, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and system availability — to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate value to global stakeholders
• Partner closely with global engineering leaders to understand platform needs and deliver reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure
• Drive a culture of operational excellence, reliability, and continuous delivery
• Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers within the team
• Manage vendor relationships, tooling decisions, and platform engineering budgets

• 12+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role managing platform, DevOps, or SRE teams
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams, ideally in an offshore or global delivery model
• Deep expertise in DevOps practices — CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong SRE background with hands-on experience establishing reliability frameworks, observability stacks, and incident response processes
• A metrics-driven mindset with experience using DORA metrics, toil reduction targets, and reliability KPIs to benchmark team performance, prioritize investments, and communicate platform health to executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML into platform operations — familiarity with AIOps platforms, LLM-based developer tooling, or intelligent automation is a strong plus
• Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and experience working with distributed, global stakeholders
• Strong hiring instincts and the ability to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent in Bangalore
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
