Position Overview:

The Vice President of Learning and Development is a key leadership role responsible for designing and executing the organization's global learning and development strategy. This role will be instrumental in driving both organizational and employee growth and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the organization by ensuring our people have the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing environment. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role will shape the educational landscape for the company, ensuring that employees across all levels and locations have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. This individual will bring together all aspects of learning within Acrisure and will lead a high-performing team, drive initiatives that foster a culture of continuous learning, and ensure that all learning programs align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Development Strategy:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global learning and development strategy that supports the organization's goals, drives employee growth and creates a culture of continuous learning.

    • Align learning initiatives including manager training, technical and compliance trainings, sales training, and broad leadership development with the overall business strategy, ensuring they support talent management and encourage employee retention.

    • Assess and implement the appropriate blend of instructor-led training and e-learning, leveraging innovative, engaging and creative technology.

  • Program Design and Evaluation:

    • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, sales training, and soft skills workshops.

    • Guide the assessment of organizational training needs through needs analysis and collaboration with the HR Leadership Team, HR colleagues and business leaders.

    • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make data-driven improvements.

    • Ensure core competencies for key roles are linked to learning solutions, and continuously developed.

  • Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Lead a diverse team of learning and development professionals, providing strategic direction and fostering a collaborative environment.

    • Lead the integration of learning teams that are currently spread throughout the organization into one cohesive organization focused on driving business success.

    • Partner with senior leadership, HR colleagues, and other key stakeholders to identify skills gaps and develop targeted learning programs.

    • Act as a key advisor to leadership on best practices in learning and development that enhances performance and employee engagement.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with external learning partners to bring innovative solutions and industry best practices to the organization.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth that encourages employees to pursue development opportunities aligned with their career goals.

    • Lead efforts to embed new learning technologies, such as AI-based learning tools, into the learning programs to improve employee engagement and retention.

    • Oversee the Learning Management System strategy, selection and deployment process and partner with HR Technology on management and oversight

  • Budget and Compliance Management:

    • Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to meet organizational needs.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all learning initiatives, maintaining records of training completions and certifications as required.

    • Implement best practices for compliance-focused employee trainings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with significant experience in a leadership role, preferably within a fin-tech organization.

  • Expertise in adult learning theories and practice with proven success in developing and implementing global learning strategies that align with business goals.

  • Experience leading a diverse, global learning and development team.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, leadership development practices, e-learning platforms and digital training tools.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Proven experience modernizing and transforming a learning organization.

  • Data-driven leader who evaluates program success based upon clear metrics and focuses on driving impact through the organization.

  • Passion for developing others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
