Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a key member of the Walmart Marketplace product team, you will support the build and operationalization of strategic initiatives to enable the success of the Marketplace Product organization. You will drive the refinement of key capabilities and mission critical programs that will support the transformation of the seller and customer marketplace experience and accelerate the US Marketplace growth.

  • You are biased for action, relentless about driving and owning the goal and you are motivated by the responsibility of delivering the most crucial capabilities for long term marketplace growth  

  • You can effectively translate complex technical requirements and projects into easily understandable terms for leadership and stakeholders. 

  • You can support the implementation and deployment of large, complex, and ambiguous projects. 

  • You are proficient in writing documentation and conducting training sessions to ensure team alignment and knowledge. 

   

You will make an impact by:   

  • Identifying and eliminating roadblocks and driving change – Interpret and utilize information for one or more initiative work streams by using various analytical methodologies; developing solutions within business areas that meet business goals; prioritizing assignments; recommending program changes to stakeholders based on data; and persuading cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement changes.  

  • Supporting a large organization by optimizing processes, collaborating with cross-functional partners, providing transparency and clarity in expected deliverables, and reducing redundant tasks to enable them to focus on value-added work. 

  • Reducing the amount of redundant busy work the product team has to do by providing continuous improvements to the process. 

  • Tracking projections and actual results; identifying and addressing cross-functional program and project issues and recommending adjustments and process improvement ideas to leadership to meet deliverables.  

  • Becoming a knowledge expert in the domain, being able to answer questions and provide useful information to unblock our team. 

  • Support and drive organizational and cultural change at Walmart to ensure Marketplace delivers its longer-term goals.  

   

Relevant Experience:

  • Experience supporting medium to large product organizations 

  • Understanding of product planning and product management lifecycle processes 

  • Ability to use a data-driven approach to identify operational inefficiencies, analyze their root causes, and implement effective solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc.  

  • Experience with project management / product planning tools such as Airtable, Microsoft Projects, Productboard, etc.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management or related area OR 4 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations 

management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area. 

2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams. 

3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
