Contract Duration: 6-month contract

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our client’s Diagnostics division on a 6-month contract in Nelspruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic equipment in the Nelspruit region.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of diagnostic equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the Nelspruit region.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license.
  • Location: Must be located in Nelspruit or willing to relocate to Nelspruit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Setup: Install and configure diagnostic equipment at healthcare facilities, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns, offering technical support, and conducting training sessions for healthcare staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and service requests.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
