As a Solution Designer, you will play a crucial role in the growth of our intralogistics automation business across EMEA. You will provide technical expertise and design support to the sales team, developing innovative and cost-effective solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers.

  • Analyze customer needs thoroughly and create the right intralogistics automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements, considering factors like throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
  • Consult with customers and internal teams to design the optimal intralogistics solution, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop winning intralogistics automation solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical contacts at customer sites and partner organizations to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of automated intralogistics solutions for pallets and bins, including AS/RS systems, AGVs/AMRs, shuttle solutions, conveyor technologies, picking systems, and their appropriate applications in different industries and warehouse environments.
  • Analyze customer needs thoroughly and create the right intralogistics automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements, considering factors like throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
  • Consult with customers and internal teams to design the optimal intralogistics solution, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer objectives.
  • Support the sales team throughout the project sales cycle by providing technical expertise, developing compelling solution concepts, and creating impactful presentations.
  • Coordinate technical details effectively with internal teams (engineering, project management, service) and external partners to ensure seamless solution delivery and successful project execution.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, including solution layouts, equipment specifications, and system architectures, to guide implementation and support future maintenance.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in intralogistics automation to continuously improve our solutions and stay ahead of the competition.
     

Qualifications:

  • Completed studies in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in solution design, system integration, or technical consulting within the automation or intralogistics industry.
  • Strong network of contacts in the intralogistics automation market is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of automated intralogistics solutions for pallets and bins, including AS/RS systems, AGVs/AMRs, shuttle solutions, conveyor technologies, picking systems, and their appropriate applications in different industries and warehouse environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and develop optimal solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in 3D layouting with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CET Designer) and simulation tools (sim3D, Plantsim).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus.
