Ace Animal Clinic is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who wants to grow their career with a collaborative, growing team. Our ideal team member would be passionate about animal wellness, have the ability to play a vital role in providing quality medicine, is service-oriented, and thrives in a busy environment. This LVT has to feel comfortable assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, have knowledge of x-ray and proper positioning, have experience dispensing and administering medications prescribed by the veterinarian, drawing blood and running bloodwork, be comfortable with in-clinic laboratory equipment, and dentistry. The ideal candidate understands the importance of client education and being a supportive and positive team player. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and at Ace Animal Clinic we support and encourage our staff to do the same.

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician, must have already passed VTNE and licensed in the State of Michigan
  • 1+ years as a fully Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring and recovery for patients
  • Client education and patient care
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Radiology and laboratory work
  • Dentistry and pharmacology
  • Positive team-player willing to continue to learn
