Team Overview

The successful candidate will be placed within the Balance Sheet Controls & Remediation organization, responsible for the implementation and execution of control processes centered on Citi’s balance sheet exceptions reporting suite . This includes reviewing the balance sheet reporting processes for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable policies and standards. The candidate will be responsible for detecting, investigating and escalating exceptions across all elements of the reporting process. This role will also include testing and monitoring of key controls across the group to ensure processes have been conducted timely, to the required level of accuracy, and are compliant with the relevant procedures and policies.

What you’ll do

  • Creating/developing a gold source of all accounts eligible for reporting, including all systems mapping related to the accounts, in accordance with prescribed Citi standards
  • Performing due diligence to confirm account populations and to understand account purposes, operations and regulatory requirements to correctly define reporting criteria
  • Manage own time effectively, ensuring readiness at all times to provide updates on investigations, communicate known risks, and details of resolution plans
  • Perform governance reviews alongside testing and monitoring of key controls, ensuring compliance with relevant Citi policies and team procedures.
  • Advise on risks, appropriateness of controls, improvement needs and best practices in relation to processes and controls within the group
  • Acts as coordinator for the creation, tracking and monitoring of formal Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for management of control issues
  • Ensure issue tracking is maintained around all issues, ready for any internal or external review
  • Additional duties as assigned

What we’ll need from you

  • Relevant previous experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and adapt to change
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to recognize key issues / implications and escalate on a timely basis
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
