JR62082 Media Health Manager High Bandwidth Memory

As a Media Health Manager in the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Media Health (MH) team (also known as DFT, Design for Testing), you will manage a team that works with Fab, Product Leads, Design, and Test Solutions Engineering to develop, deploy, optimize, and innovate test strategies for Micron's HBM products, both on DRAM and Interface die! You will act as a key interface between a variety of engineering groups and specialties, increasing a diverse range of expertise to innovate new and improved test strategies, features, and technologies!

You will be responsible for developing test flows, ramping yields and delivering to customer quality expectations on schedule.  You will be expected to help build and lead a successful, engaged team that feels supported and empowered.

You will have or develop guide capability with Probe (wafer level test), Burn-in and ATE test code and testing techniques used to validate and ensure device performance. You will assist in debugging code and aiding other specialists in the characterization of applicable HBM devices. In this role, your additional responsibilities include an in-depth understanding of general device functionality specific to HBM products as well as schematics and signal integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team that will begin engaging well-ahead of silicon arriving as key participants in ramp/product planning activities for upcoming parts.
  • Act as a 1st line of contact for FrontEnd experiments and Test development team
  • Lead yield and product grading forecasting, tracking, communication, and improvement across designs. 
  • Create and maintain yield paretos with new data, actions, timelines, and estimated yield gains, and provide technical leadership and prioritization to drive pareto improvements.
  • Develop deep partnerships with Design, PYE, TSE, GQ and Fab teams in order to deliver to yield/quality expectations effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of yield and quality to ensure fast implementation of lessons learnt.
  • Coordinate closely with Product Leadership Team to ensure yield and quality are fully represented in overall product leadership approach, and strategies are aligned to delivering to the product objectives/timelines.
  • Understand product support roadmaps and strategies to ensure your team can support assigned designs. 
  • Allocate resources to meet timelines and targets within the group and establish goals as part of the larger leadership team.
  • Aid in assertive hiring and team building to ensure readiness ahead of need.
  • Optimize group performance through metrics and objectives.
  • As a team leader you will provide coaching and career development, identify team strengths and weaknesses and create specific development plans with team members, conduct performance appraisals, provide recognition and drive accountability across the team.
  • Synchronize data reporting and projections with global teams MFG, PYE, Node Enablement.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the appearance of common DRAM fail modes by data and fail analysis - can determine the cause of failure holistically including process, design, and test flow preferred.
  • Possess working knowledge of the way product yields impact revenue preferred.
  • A record of performance excellence for current/previous areas of responsibility.
  • Viewed by current team as a strong mentor and teammate.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems across multi-functional groups, both within and outside the department.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills.
