Senior Sales & Marketing Specialist for Grid Automation are responsible for leading the sales efforts of Hitachi Energy India’s products, systems, and services in their assigned geographical area (South). They are accountable for achieving the business targets established by management. The role also includes customer engagement to understand the needs and requirements of the customers. He/she will also have a good understanding of the local market dynamics and competitors.
Responsibilities:
• To achieve overall business objectives set out for each year by increasing sales revenues through profitable orders generated by the Account Managers under his/her responsibility.
• Lead and motivate the Account Managers under his/her responsibility to meet the revenue and profitability goals.
• Work closely with the Product Line Managers on new product introduction and marketing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Ensure accurate forecasting for the region based on market intelligence and trends.
• Develop relationships with key customers within the region and be able to influence key decision makers at customer level.
• Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction with our products and service.
• Support the execution of projects as per requirement.
• Provide feedback to Product Line Managers on regional market trends and competitor activity.
• Monitor regional sales performance against targeted sales revenues and provide feedback to Product Line Managers.
• Implement and monitor Sales and Operations Planning processes to ensure accurate demand forecasting and efficient inventory control.
• Develop short-term tactical plans aligned with corporate strategy to increase market share and improve profitability.
• Analyze monthly financial results and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Master's degree would be desirable but not essential.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a similar industry.
Proven track record in a sales environment preferably in Power Transmission and Distribution Industry.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision.
Demonstrated project management skills.
