POSITION SUMMARY

The primary function of the Loan officer is to sell loan products offered by Newrez. Contact prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources. Meet with prospective clients at outside locations such as a client’s home. Make in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads..

Incumbent may work from any of the above listed locations. Not required to cover all above listed locations.

DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources.
  • Meet with prospective clients at outside locations such as a client’s home.
  • Make in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors, and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads.
  • Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of your own sales.
  • Meet monthly minimum personal production goals (3 units).
  • Take mortgage loan applications and prepare effective loan proposals.
  • Determine a consumer’s needs and offer the appropriate product.
  • Originate loans for appropriate amounts, rates, and terms that comply with NPF’s program guidelines.
  • Provide consumers with a superior level of customer service.
  • Quickly and accurately answer all customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Obtain all information deemed necessary to process loan requests in a timely manner, including but not limited to credit reports, income verification, appraisals, lien searches, etc. Analyze the information and provide insight where appropriate.
  • Provide assistance to applicants and solve all problems that may arise between application and settlement.
  • Stay informed of developing trends in the mortgage industry.
  • Attend/assist with scheduled meetings, training sessions and courses.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two (2) year college degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of mortgage loan origination experience.
  • Must qualify for and obtain state licensure in the states where Newrez does business; mortgage licensure.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
  • Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.

A good faith estimate of the compensation is:

15,080.00 - 60,000.00

Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual.

 

Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, etc.
