What you need to know about this position:
· Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate top losses, improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale (SQDCM) across the site.
· Serve as a site Autonomous Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning AM standards, deployment, and capability development in partnership with Manufacturing and Maintenance
· Apply Focused Improvement (FI) tools to identify, quantify, and prioritize losses, enabling teams and Process Engineers to execute effective loss elimination and deliver measurable results.
· Coach core team, technicians, and leaders on problem solving, AM practices, and standard work to build self-sufficiency at the line level.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to enable equipment reliability improvements and AM ownership, ensuring loss elimination efforts are aligned to standards and sustained over time.
· Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of standard work, visual management, management systems, and line level master plans.
· Track, validate, and communicate improvement results ensuring benefits are sustained and embedded into daily operations.
· Ownership of the Bakery Waste and/or Cost Work Process including bakery level loss intelligence, glidepath development, and system governance to enable prioritized loss elimination and sustained improvement.

· Strong working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean, TPM, and IL6S principles, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrated experience driving improvement initiatives using data, structured problem solving, and loss analysis.
· Hands-on understanding of equipment reliability, autonomous maintenance practices, and operator-based asset care.
· Ability to coach and influence at all levels of the organization, from frontline operators to site leadership.
· Proven capability to translate complex concepts into practical, easy-to-understand tools and standard work.
· Bias for action with the discipline to sustain gains through systems, standards, and follow-up
· Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
· Ownership mindset, resilience, and comfort operating in ambiguity while driving results
Education / Certifications:
· HS Diploma (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. (Preferred)
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, maintenance, or operational excellence role.
· Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or IL6S methodologies (formal certifications preferred)
· Autonomous Maintenance, TPM, or Reliability Certification strongly preferred.
· Experience working in regulated manufacturing environment (food, CPG, or similar)
· Proficiency with data and analytics tools (Excel required; Power BI; Minitab, or similar tools preferred)
Job specific requirements:
· Regular presence on the production floor to observe processes, identify losses, and coach team in real time.
· Ability to support operations across shifts as needed, including early mornings, nights, or weekends during initiatives, startups, or breakdowns.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with competing priorities and changing business needs.
· Ability to analyze equipment and process performance using data, trends, and loss intelligence.
· Ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and structure problem-solving events
· Capable of working cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Sanitation, FSQA, and Leadership
· Willingness to lead from the floor and work side-by-side with operators and technicians when needed.
· Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on critical priorities.
· Strong commitment to safety, food quality, and compliance with site policies and procedures.
Travel requirements: None
Work Schedule: Primarily M-F dayshift; however, flexibility is required to support business needs. Occasional off-shift support may be required during improvement initiatives, Small Group Activity (SGA) Event. Schedule will be adjusted as needed to ensure effective partnership with Operations and Maintenance across shifts.
