The position will provide behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy, and support services for students in Jefferson’s Student Counseling Center.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

•    Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy and other psychosocial treatment modalities.
•    Provides effective treatment planning and assists patients in successfully achieving goals.
•    Participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming to the campus community.
•    Establish community connection and offer resources/referrals to students 
•    Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson. 

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

•    Maintains a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality within the Department
•    Maintains working knowledge of best practices in the field of college mental health
•    Works collaboratively with Student Counseling Center staff and campus partners,documents accurately within the medical record of patients as well as other forms to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements
•    Completes all records within the electronic health record system (Point and Click)
•    Prioritizes and maintains assigned cases to ensure appropriate services are provided to patients
•    Provide psychoeducation to students on how to navigate health systems 
•    Attends assigned meetings at all levels within the organization
•    Create community referral options for the Student Counseling Center  
•    Facilitates outreach events as needed
•    Other duties as assigned

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Faculty, administrators, staff, students, local hospital, mental health professionals, and other service providers.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Master in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family or Social Work(LSW, LPC, LMFT, LCSW) or higher.

LSW, LPC, LMFT, LCSW licensed in the state of Pennsylvania

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting is required. Prefer three or more years of outpatient clinical behavioral health experience. Experience in college counseling preferred.
