Our Opportunity Summary:

As a Manager of Strategic Product Planning at Micron, you will play a crucial role in driving and crafting Micron's product portfolio strategy and in setting Global Operations up for success in support of Micron’s product portfolio.  Your main responsibility will be to efficiently represent Global Operations within Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management process.  You will be responsible to a manage the Global Operations Stage Gate process, collaborate with cross-functional partners to proactively resolve concerns, and raise critical exceptions with senior leadership to ensure product portfolio alignment across Global Operations, Technology Development, Technology and Products Group, and Business Units.  Additionally, you will drive DID product mapping across our manufacturing network in alignment with manufacturing site strategies, ensure supply coverage for new product introductions (engineering enablement and customer samples), and to promote sufficient early demand to consume supply from new tech node ramps. 

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Represent Global Operations in all evaluations of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) proposals across Micron's product portfolio.
  • Handle customer concerns and exception approvals for all of Global Operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from Global Operations, Technology Development, Technology and Products Group, and Business Unit teams to ensure individual product and overall portfolio alignment.
  • Establish and drive strategies to ensure operationally robust portfolios.
  • Ensure supply coverage for new product introduction (engineering enablement and customer samples) for all DIDs.
  • Drive site strategy for DID mapping; align with BU, PMO, TPG, and Global Operations on DID count and tech node corridor size.
  • Ensure demand over-subscription of new tech node ramps; align on qual, cadence and ramp timelines.

How To Qualify:

  • 10+ years of experience in Front End Manufacturing, TD/TPG, or Business Units.
  • Proven track record to contribute to strategic teams and influence decisions using a variety of approaches.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills!
  • Ability to break down large concepts into small deliverables while maintaining focus on the overall strategy.
  • Experience leading projects or programs, working with metrics & analytics, and leading process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and assume leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools, demonstrating sophisticated excel skills.
  • Familiarity with effective program management principles; PMP Certification is helpful.
  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks required to lead change.
  • Ability to translate broad or general concepts into tangible deliverables.
  • Familiarity with financial terms and metrics.
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity!
  • Ability and willingness to travel, both domestic and international, as needed.
