Job Description Summary:
The Node Development PE Technical Program Manager position will be a member of the DEG Technology (DEGT) Node Development PE (NDPE) leadership team! The DEGT team is a team of forward-thinking engineers that solve complex problems to develop industry leading DRAM with the ambition to keep Micron in the Technology leadership position in the industry.
In the role of Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of our DRAM development activities and Development Chips including both Array and CMOS. Our team is a primary driver and contributor of the quarterly DRAM Scaling Forum and in this role, you will help to proactively collect and organize our team’s collateral on an ongoing basis such that is prepared ahead and ready for delivery at each Scaling Forum.
You will leverage your technical knowledge to help better organize and streamline our teams’ recurring communications to partner teams. You will also help to coordinate and lead our head count planning/hiring and training of new engineers. This role will collaborate cross-functionally within our DEG Technology team and with partner groups, Design, Technology Development, Pathfinding, Competitor Analysis, Test, and Quality Assurance departments.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop strong relationships with TD, DEGT Design, Competitor Analysis and Pathfinding teams.
Understand DRAM scaling challenges, opportunities, and competitive threats. Work with peers to ensure Development activities in Si will keep Micron in a Technology leadership position.
Leverage technical depth in each Development effort to
Maintain a constantly updated Development Chip roadmap aligned with DEGT and TD with a view of scope for each Chip.
Collect and organize information throughout a quarter that will be presented at Scaling Forum to guide future Development decisions.
Organize and conduct our weekly Technical Direction Forum (TDF).
Standardize and streamline our teams’ recurring communications.
Ensure best Si evaluation and validation techniques are employed across our worldwide Node Development team.
Stand up business processes and methodologies when the technical teams find a best-known method (BKM).
Maintain and optimize our PE Process Checklist (PEPC).
Track movement and progress of our most critical Process/Design experiments for the engineering teams to intercept with timely Si validation.
Generate head count plans aligned to Development roadmaps and coordinate recruitment efforts across our team.
Optimize our teams training and education materials for onboarding new members.
Maintain and organize our Sharepoint and Confluence sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent
Proven industry semiconductor development experience
Familiarity with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and process
Familiarity with CMOS performance and reliability mechanisms
Effective written and spoken communication skills
Good organizational skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong presentation skills
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
