The Centre of Financial Excellence (COFE) is a service responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across the Group. As part of the COFE as a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing effective forecasting and reporting, analysis and advice on all financial aspects across your respective business area. You will provide support that enables business units to develop and deliver timely and accurate financial management information to relevant stakeholders, aligned with Qantas Group Strategy.


You’ll have –

  • Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified) and experience with similar roles, with 3+ years’ experience

  • Strong attention to detail, managing complex financial models with large data volumes

  • Highly motivated self-starter; able to work under time pressure with limited supervision

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear financial analysis and advice

  • Considerable exposure to forecasting and budgeting processes

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both verbally and in writing

  • Advanced excel skills, experience in ESSBASE and Hyperion spreadsheet packages preferred

  • A high level of accountability and ability to work to deadlines
