As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist for the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center supporting the MDA, you join a team dedicated to supporting the various MDA programs reporting to the Supply Chain Program Manager for the MDA Business Unit. You will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's problems. In this role you will oversee and manage the global supply chain/operational aspect of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management, planning, engineering and GSC. You will assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. The Supply Chain Planning Specialist responsibilities will encompass but are not limited to:
- Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program
- Interface/collaborate with other functions of the program team
- Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements
- Planning and coordinating program requirements
- Monitoring and establishing material inventory
- Addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
- Evaluating suppliers and noting key performance indicators
- Leveraging your skills and talents throughout this role
- Forecasts material receipts and communicates variances to forecast
- Creates/releases requisitions
- Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts
- Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements
- Develop/understand the proposal/execution strategy and structures
- Maintain a strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast paced development environment that consists of leading edge technology suppliers and non-traditional supply base
In this role you will make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/ project management, business management, or information systems
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
- Material management experience
- Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
- Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting
- Experience in proposal roles and responsibilities
- Experience in SAP
- Experience coaching to implementing change with demonstrated results
- Ability to be agile and work in a fast passed engineering environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Salary Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
