We are looking for an Associate Architect to join the Thomson Reuters Shared Capabilities Group in our Hyderabad Office with strong technical skills who is ready to lead large scale projects including managing stakeholder relationships, conducting analysis and presenting results, this could be the right job for you.

About the role :

  • Design and architect solutions to provide a secure, cost-efficient, and resilient environment for applications running in public and private Clouds.
  • Best practices, services, and patterns to enable applications teams to be as productive as possible.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to understand business requirements for implementation into core platform services.
  • Guide modern DevOps development tools and practices involved with CI/CD, Continuous Testing/Security, and Continuous Monitoring/Observability.
  • Define a continuous improvement process for the Platform.
  • Propose integration with other tools and vendors whenever possible and define integration best practices.
  • Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business-driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards
  • Ability to continuously learn and update with next-generation technology, and development tools
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, techniques, and methodologies needed to improve productivity and quality
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment, share information, and diverse ideas, and partner with cross-functional and remote teams
  • Establish goals from which you can develop an automation roadmap, and establish quantifiable KPIs to illustrate progress, success, and ROI
  • Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues of the product as needed
  • Be a technical mentor to the team
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues, share ideas, participate in peer reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills. Work with business owners to translate requirements into comprehensive test plans.
  • Generate summarized end-to-end reports for any new capabilities.


About You
You’re a fit for the role of Associate Architect, if your background includes:

  • At least 9+ years of software development experience with 3+ years of architecture experience and 6+ years of experience in the design and development of modern web applications using Cloud Native Technologies
  • Highly Proficient in Java
  • Must-Have Experience in developing REST APIs using Java and Spring framework
  • Must-Have Experience in data migration of critical applications
  • Must-Have Experience in Event-driven architecture with at least one messaging framework such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS
  • Must-Have Experience with at least one major RDS and No-SQL Database like Postgres, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications using Serverless technologies
  • Experience in designing and developing CI/CD pipelines with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience and working knowledge of virtualization and cloud services (VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience and working knowledge of Cognitive technologies like Computer Vision, RPA, and NLP is preferred.
  • Experience with workflow engines like Camunda and Pega is preferred
  • Experience with network architecture, firewalls, extranet security, virtual environments, backup, and highly available structures is preferred
  • Experience in various other programming languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus
  • Experience and certifications related to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud hypervisors are desired
