Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for developing, reviewing, approving, and disseminating standards of clinical practice, quality, education, and clinical operations for specific areas within the division of Patient Care Services. Will participate in the strategic planning for the division and establishes and implements the PCS philosophy, goals and objectives, standards, policies and procedures to achieve high quality and safe patient care outcomes as well as initiatives to achieve exceptional patient/family experience. Is responsible for maintaining 24-hour accountability for the service areas and for clinical supervision of nursing and support staff to ensure optimal delivery of care within established standards. Is accountable for the clinical operations and nursing practice for the service line.Pay Range
Minimum $159,453 Midpoint $211,286 Maximum $263,099Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum four (4) years of experience in a clinical specialty. Two (2) years of experience in a nursing management position.
• Preferred: Three (3) years of nursing management experience within the clinical area of an acute facility.
Education
• Required: Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing; Master's of Science in Nursing or related field.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork; understand and exceed customer expectations. Knowledge of Family-Centered Care Concepts and Quality Improvement methodologies. Demonstrated skill in collaborating with medical staff, allied health professionals, peers and staff. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to successfully provide/promote safe care within the parameters of licensure and regulatory requirements, practice requirements and hospital systems. Excellent conflict resolution skills and proven ability to effectively lead teams to consensus. Budgeting, variance tracking and productivity monetary. Working knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Preferred: Experience with budget and productivity systems. Eligible for the ANCC Administrative certification.
Licensure
• Required: Certifications or credentials as deemed necessary by regulatory agencies; Registered Nurse – CA (RN).
