Xylem is looking for a Regional Service Technician to report to our Garner, NC location and support the Southeast Region (VA, NC, SC) with customer orders, set-ups, teardowns, fusion work, mechanical work, and other duties as assigned.

What your day will look like as a Regional Service Technician

The Regional Service Technician will be responsible for supporting the delivery, installation and operation of our pumps on Xylem Service Center sites and/or customer job sites. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous professional driving experience and a mechanical background are especially encouraged to apply.

This position has general day shift hours and overtime opportunities with overnights and afternoons/weekends.  This position will travel approximately 90% of the time.

Position Requirements for Regional Service Technicians

  • Clean driving record

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • CDL, Class A or B (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)

  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

  • Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.)

  • One to two years of technical work experience.

  • One to two years Fusion experience preferred.

  • One to two years of construction industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to drive overnight.

  • Ability to cross-borders and obtain valid passport.

  • Ability to drive difficult routes.

  • Ability to understand weight requirements / weight distribution.

  • Ability to work in varied work conditions.  Including but not inclusive to weather, job site, indoors, loud noises, and construction and power facilities.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 90% travel depending on division & location (mix of local and longer distance with overnight stays)

$39,500.00 - $63,000.00
