About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our Audio Team. In this role, you will focus on reproducing audio-related issues, collecting critical artifacts, and supporting debugging and root-cause analysis across embedded and platform-level systems. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world automotive and embedded audio systems, enabling you to build strong diagnostics and troubleshooting expertise.
What You Will Do
- Reproduce and analyze audio issues reported from various sources (internal testing, field, or customer feedback).
- Capture and collect audio artifacts such as logs, traces, dumps, and system metrics for debugging purposes.
- Work across technology areas including Embedded RTOS, Android, Linux, and C++ platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to assist in root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Perform Static Code Analysis and support Unit Testing using frameworks like Google Test.
- Develop scripts/tools to automate issue reproduction and log collection.
- Use debuggers, emulators, and simulators to validate audio functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist in software validation, quality assurance activities, and release processes.
- Document findings, issue reproduction steps, and debugging artifacts clearly for cross-team collaboration.
- Be part of a fast-paced team working on advanced and evolving automotive audio technologies.
What You Need to Be Successful
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline.
- Strong foundation in Embedded C / C++ programming.
- Basic understanding of audio fundamentals (desirable, not mandatory).
- Knowledge of Linux and/or Android platforms.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience or willingness to learn debugging on embedded targets.
- Basic knowledge of tools for logging, tracing, and performance analysis.
- Scripting language knowledge
- Understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks (e.g., Google Test).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to document and explain technical issues effectively.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to audio frameworks (ALSA, AAudio, Audio HAL, etc.).
- Experience with log analysis tools, signal tracing, or waveform tools.
- Basic scripting skills (Python/Shell) for automation.
- Knowledge of automotive systems or infotainment platforms.
