A Day in the Life

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial operations. This role will cover multiple key financial processes including Statutory and Corporate Income Tax reporting and Audit coordination and is a hybrid role, located in Neuhausen am Rheinfall in the canton of Schaffhausen.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive internal and external financial reports.

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and accompanying financial notes.

• Leverage data analytics tools to automate workflows, optimize reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making.

• Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions that enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate or contribute to complex accounting projects and initiatives across various functions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5–8 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, or audits.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards (e.g., US GAAP, Swiss GAAP)

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI etc.

• Proven ability to prepare and consolidate financial statements, perform financial analysis, and support audits and tax compliance.

• A continuous improvement mindset with experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
