We are currently seeking to hire an Anaplan Certified Solution Architect. This position will hold a key role in building the Anaplan Center of Excellence within the Financial Planning & Analysis team at AES.  The Anaplan Solution Architect works as a trusted advisor to the financial planning and analysis team and key executives. In this position, you will advise, implement and help develop strategies and capabilities to support enterprise-wide decision-making, and improve finance operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and lead the operations and maintenance of workspaces and models in Anaplan, identify and implementing new business functionality to build scalable processes.
  • Be the subject matter expert on company's Anaplan platform by guiding model builders to leverage established best practices, and build, test, and deploy models in a scalable and effective manner.
  • Supervise and coordinate Anaplan Model Builders activities. Provide technical instruction by actively mentoring others through improvement of delivery of optimal solutions based on in-depth knowledge and expertise.
  • Work closely with FP&A and multi-functional teams to develop roadmaps, identify needs, understand existing models (Excel/ Anaplan), and assist in the process of translating them into efficiently built Anaplan solutions. Support financial forecasting, planning, reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for partnering with business owners and teams to understand complex functional needs, prioritize and translate requests into functioning Anaplan models taking into account a wide range of variables.
  • Provide both technical and business implication explanations to partners and stakeholders, including the pros, cons, and different approaches to modeling alternatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, a deep interest in problem-solving and leveraging technology to improve business processes.
  • Assist in data validation, testing, and overall deployment of new models to ensure an accurate and successful project implementation within Anaplan.
  • Act as the 'thought leader' of existing models and processes and assist in future enhancements to drive planning efficiency.
  • Continuously identify gaps and opportunities for projects that will streamline workflows and overall processes.
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to identify areas of opportunity for data automation and efficiency.
  • Perform business and systems analysis work, root cause analysis and provide forward thinking, long term technical solutions; conduct requirements gathering/analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • 7+ years of work experience in Business Applications, Finance, or roles involved with enterprise software implementations, which include at least 2+ years of model building in Anaplan.
  • Experience with New UX and dashboarding functionality, familiar with Anaplan modeling best practices for performance and efficiency
  • Experience with development of integrations between Anaplan and enterprise systems
  • Certified Solution Architect in Anaplan.
  • Experience with Software/SaaS companies would be a plus.
  • Understanding of FP&A processes, and financial concepts with exposure to financial modeling
  • Solid understanding of multi-dimensional modelling - intersection of FP&A and Business Applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with Data Lakes and BPC is a plus.
