Job Description

Cosmetology or Esthetics Instructor License - Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology

Campbellsville University School of Cosmetology is looking for an Esthetics Instructor to add to their team of instructors. This is an onsite, fulltime position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for class, presentation/teaching of curriculum.
  • Maintain academic records and ensure continuous evaluation is given to students on an ongoing basis (student performance in theory, practical, and clinical experiences).
  • Maintains a positive learning environment.
  • Morning devotion and prayer.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of all school policies, and adheres to and upholds their implementation and enforcement.
  • Safeguards materials, records, and equipment.
  • Attends school staff functions including staff meetings, training, orientation, graduation, and special student activities and school events as required. Serves as a professional role model to students.
  • Counsel and guide students on clinic floor and assist in issue resolution.
  • Ensure safe and sanitary practices are followed for students, instructors, and guests.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean lab and clean equipment.
  • Orders supplies as needed by following school procedures.
  • Actively enforces school policies, such as online computer usage, dress code, etc. at all times.
  • Holds class for full duration of scheduled hours, and facilitates effective use of class time.
  • Maintains professional dress and demeanor.
  • Project a profesional image at all times to internal and external guests.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student progress, performance, and attendance using the tools and technology provided by the institution, as required by school policy and procedure.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by effectively managing clinic floor.
  • Interacts with students and fellow employees in a courteous, professional, and positive manner.
  • Treats students with fairness, impartiality, and objectivity.
  • Maintain compliance with the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Kentucky Cosmetology Instructor License
  • Kentucky Cosmetologist License
  • Verifiable post-secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Concurrence with the mission of Campbellsville University
