The Learning Business Partner, Medical & Scientific Excellence is a strategic, forward‑thinking leader with a true growth mindset. In this role, you’ll champion a strong learning culture across the Medical & Scientific Affairs organization—empowering teams with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities they need to excel and make meaningful impact. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic learning and development solutions that elevate performance, accelerate talent readiness, and enable Medical & Scientific Affairs professionals to compete, execute, and optimize in an evolving healthcare landscape. As a trusted partner, you’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and the Learning Excellence Organization to proactively identify capability needs, prioritize initiatives, and align development efforts across Pan‑J&J Innovative Medicine Medical & Scientific Affairs—including both in‑house and field medical roles.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Learning Business Partner, you will:

  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with Medical & Scientific leaders, business partners, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Learning Excellence partners.

  • Diagnose business needs and performance gaps; recommend targeted learning solutions to develop Medical & Scientific Affairs capabilities.

  • Act as SME and review content with L&D Experience & Enablement to ensure alignment and measurable outcomes.

  • Monitor and report learning impact; share evaluation findings with partners.

  • Maintain expertise in Learning Excellence capabilities, Innovative Medicine L&D strategy, standards, and tools to propose efficient solutions.

  • Manage project resources (SMEs, contractors, vendors) and oversee RFPs, vendor results, timelines, and value.

  • Facilitate workshops and training as required, adapting solutions to the changing healthcare ecosystem.

  • Apply adult learning principles to develop skills-based programs that accelerate business impact.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

  • Project Management; Change Management; Leading without Authority; Collaboration and Teaming; Communications; Interpersonal Skills; Problem Solving; Critical Thinking; Organizational Agility; Influence and Impact

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Life Science/Pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industry

  • Experience in medical affairs, and/or learning & development

  • Knowledge and experience with adult learning and developing and delivering adult training curriculums

Other:

This position can be located in Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ. Individual should be able to travel between Horsham, PA and Titusville, NJ sites. It may require up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
