Data & Analytics
As EROAD accelerates globally, data and AI are no longer support functions they’re foundational to how our products operate and how customers trust us. As we scale and lean deeper into Insights and AI, we’re investing in governance that’s embedded, practical, and engineered into our delivery not bolted on.
We’re looking for a Data Governance Specialist who wants to shape how governance truly works in a modern data and AI environment.
This is a hands‑on role. You’ll build the governance capability, run it day‑to‑day, and embed it directly into how teams design, build, and ship.
About the role
Own Data & AI Governance (for real)
• Lead EROAD’s governance capability across cataloguing, lineage, classification, and data quality tooling
• Embed governance controls into data pipelines, analytics workflows, and AI use cases—not just write policies
• Maintain audit‑ready visibility: access, schema changes, lineage, and quality
Shape the framework—and make it stick
• Evolve EROAD’s Data & AI Governance Framework and drive adoption across teams
• Define pragmatic controls for AI training data, feature stores, and model outputs
• Ensure compliance and privacy alignment without slowing delivery
Be the connector
• Partner with Data Engineering, Product, Security, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance
• Run governance forums that enable and protect the business
• Translate decisions into clear, practical controls teams can actually implement
Make data trustworthy
• Own governance and quality metrics and show progress
• Ensure end‑to‑end lineage from source systems to analytics and AI outputs
• Identify gaps in classification, masking, quality, and change management
Lift the organisation
• Deliver training on data and AI governance
• Coach teams and foster a culture where governance enables innovation—not blocks it
• Help build a fun, curious, and forward‑thinking data community
Skills & experience
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll recognise yourself in most of these:
• 4+ years in data governance, data management, data risk, or similar roles
• Experience with governance tooling (catalogue, lineage, classification, data quality)
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms (warehouses, lakes, streaming)
• Solid SQL skills and comfort navigating schemas and pipelines
• Experience in regulated or controlled data environments
• Exposure to AI or advanced analytics governance (or a strong interest to grow)
• Confident influencing across teams without formal authority
