The Opportunity

Prezzee is continuing its growth and we require a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to join our team. 

Every month, several hundred thousand users in the USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand login to Prezzee to send and receive gifts from friends, family and colleagues.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Prezzee, you will have the opportunity to work with other talented engineers in small, supportive teams with all the right tools and clear requirements to let you get your best work done. You'll be part of a collaborative agile development team and contribute by delivering quality and maintainable code whilst ensuring best practice software engineering techniques are applied at all stages of the lifecycle. 

As a Senior in the team, you will have the opportunity to assist in coaching and mentoring other Engineers. You will play an instrumental part in fulfilling our FY25 strategic ambitions, one that is looking to disrupt the gift card and payments market globally.

Some of the technologies and patterns our frontend developers work with

• React 18
• Mono Repo using TurboRepo
• Micro frontends. Mix of Incremental Page Regeneration, Client Side Rendering and Server Side Rendering.
• GraphQL Backend for Frontend using Apollo server. 
• MicroServices backend capable of over 100 orders per second.
• Realtime page performance monitoring (LCP, Total Load Time, etc..) in Datadog
• Prezzee is an AWS Enterprise customer
• We love AI and are rolling out our custom internal AI agent soon. 

 

What are we looking for?

• Strong front-end developer who is experienced with React 18 or who can pick it up quickly.
• Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques
• A real passion for quality, maintainable code and continuous improvement
• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design
• Highly dedicated ethos - expected to take very real accountability for the work you're doing
• Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior developers
• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence
• A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care
