The NISC IV program is seeking a Project Manager that can support our valued customer at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The selected candidate will provide project management support to the FAA AXE-1 Executive Director. The Project Manager will be involved with all stages of the lifecycle of procedures, rules, policies, and automation. The position will involve collaborating with all levels of aviation professionals, organizations in the FAA including Senior executives, and experienced working with a diverse collection of interagency partners and industry stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as project manager in the field of aviation activities and project management.
  • Drafts white papers supporting FAA Roadmap for aviation strategy; research reports and Orders to support current and future projects.
  • Participates in FAA Integrated Safety Dashboard Project (AJI/CSSI) meetings to determine future needs for the AXE-1.
  • Provides executive level guidance on FAA organizational structure and workflow optimization.
  • Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments such as the AXE Dashboard Project Management Plan
  • Designs and prepares technical reports and presentations on highly specialized topics.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with the Project Sponsor through weekly connection meetings and regular involvement in the Sponsor's calendar schedule.
  • Participate in all collaborative meetings with ASH/AXE regarding the AXE Data Visualization Dashboard.
  • Leads the effort AXE Metrics Visualization Project will initiate promptly upon approval by AXE-1.
  • Participate in various FAA Integrated Safety Dashboard collaborative roundtable discussions and make recommendations for the ASH data governance document.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 -15 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.  Year of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Must have the ability to obtain a public trust suitability clearance.
    • To qualify, you will have to be a US citizen or permanent resident and resided in the US for a minimum of 3 consecutive years.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
